What if rest could be a form of resistance? What if tending to our inner world helped us show up more fully for the outer one?
On Friday, August 16, the Climate Wellness Network is proud to host a special gathering in partnership with coach and wellness facilitator Lynn Skotnitsky: Climate Workshop for Rest: A Safe Space for Self-Care and World-Care.
Held in the forest sanctuary of Pacific Spirit Park, this intimate, in-person workshop is an invitation to pause, ground, and restore. Together, we’ll explore climate grief, overwhelm, and resilience through storytelling, somatic practices, and quiet rest — all while held by the living, breathing forest around us.
This experience is designed for anyone feeling the weight of the world. You don’t need to be an activist, artist, or expert. Just come as you are.
What the workshop includes:
Gentle movement and grounding practices
Guided reflections and storytelling
Nature-based connection and quiet rest
Community space for support, honesty, and healing
This is a space where your feelings are welcome. Where burnout can soften. Where the body can begin to exhale.
Spots are limited to keep the gathering intimate and intentional. We encourage you to register early to reserve your place.
Date: Friday, August 16, 2025
Time: 1:30 PM – 5:30 PM
Location: Pacific Spirit Forest, “Lily” Designated Nature Space, Vancouver
Come rest with us. Come remember that healing and care are part of climate work too.
