about climate cafes

what is a climate cafe

A climate cafe is a facilitated gathering where people come together to share their feelings, fears, and hopes about the climate crisis in a supportive, non-judgmental space. It’s not a place for debate or solutions — it’s a space for connection, reflection, and collective care.

key values

Climate cafes are rooted in care, compassion, and deep listening. They honour emotional honesty, invite all feelings, and prioritize connection over fixing or debating. Every voice matters, and every emotion is welcome.

structure

Climate cafes are informal, lightly facilitated circles that create space for conversation, reflection, and shared presence. Sessions often begin with a grounding practice, followed by open sharing using gentle prompts. There’s no set agenda — just a commitment to holding space with care.
